Liverpool finalise deal for Bradley Barcola from PSG

Liverpool have finalised a deal worth up to £123m for Bradley Barcola, with the Paris Saint-Germain winger now due to undergo a medical this weekend before completing his move to Anfield.

Deal agreed after talks with PSG

The agreement follows extended discussions between Liverpool and the Champions League holders, with the outline of the transfer settled on Wednesday night. The package has now been accepted, clearing the way for the 23-year-old to take the next step towards joining the Premier League club.

Liverpool will pay £106m up front, with a further £17m included in add-ons linked to both individual and team achievements. It is a significant outlay for a player the club identified as its leading target of the summer window.

Medical set for the weekend

Personal terms are already in place, with Barcola’s representatives having approved the move to Merseyside last month. That means the process is now focused on the medical, which is expected to take place over the weekend.

If completed as expected, the France international will become the second-most expensive signing in Liverpool’s history. Only Florian Wirtz has cost the club more.

Liverpool’s summer recruitment continues

Barcola’s arrival would add to a busy period of senior recruitment at Anfield. Liverpool have already brought in centre-back Ronald Araújo on loan from Barcelona, along with Osasuna winger Víctor Muñoz and defender Jérémy Jacquet, whose £55m move from Rennes was agreed in January.

The pursuit of Barcola underlines Liverpool’s determination to strengthen in wide areas with a player already established at elite level. With the deal structure now signed off and the medical next on the schedule, the move appears close to being completed.
