Transfer rumours: Balogun to Spurs, Jesus on Napoli radar

Tottenham, Napoli and Liverpool are among the clubs featuring most prominently in the latest round of transfer speculation, with Folarin Balogun, Gabriel Jesus and Bradley Barcola all linked with significant moves before the window closes.

Spurs linked with Balogun as Inter look at Spence

One of the more eye-catching reports concerns Tottenham’s interest in Folarin Balogun. According to the source material, talks have been opened with Monaco over a move for the USA international and former Arsenal striker, with the proposed deal valued at €60m (£51.2m).

Tottenham could also see movement in the opposite direction in their squad planning. Djed Spence is said to be attracting interest from Inter, who are reportedly considering a £25.6m move for the full-back. The report adds that Spence would be open to a switch to San Siro, particularly with competition for places in north London potentially increasing after Roberto De Zerbi’s active summer in the market.

Napoli step up Jesus interest

Napoli are reported to be intensifying their pursuit of Gabriel Jesus, who could be available for around €20m (£17m). The Arsenal forward is entering the final year of his contract at the Emirates, and the suggestion is that regular first-team opportunities may be harder to secure.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are also mentioned in connection with Jules Koundé. But the picture there appears less straightforward. Koundé is said to be content at Barcelona, even if the Spanish club could consider a sale. Any move would also be shaped by Barcelona’s plans for a replacement, with Pedro Porro named in the report despite his recent new deal at Tottenham.

Liverpool eye Barcola amid PSG reshuffle

Liverpool are said to have Bradley Barcola firmly on their radar as they plan for the future of their attack in the post-Mohamed Salah era. The Paris Saint-Germain winger reportedly wants to leave the French club, with Anfield described as his preferred destination. Arsenal are also credited with an interest in the France international.

PSG, for their part, are reported to be moving towards deals for Ferran Torres of Barcelona and Ajax winger Mika Godts. The latter had spoken recently about wanting to shut down rumours that he was refusing to play for Ajax in order to force through a transfer.

Elsewhere in the market

There are several other names in the latest rumour cycle. Mykhailo Mudryk is said to be available for loan, with Coventry reportedly leading the race for the Chelsea winger. At Monaco, Igor Paixao is also drawing attention, with Leeds continuing to show interest, although manager Bruno Genesio is keen to keep the Brazilian.

Everton are weighing up options at full-back and are reported to be considering Alastair Johnson, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Brooke Norton-Cuffy. Fulham, meanwhile, are credited with interest in Barcelona defender Hector Fort, while Manchester United are linked with Club Brugge left-back Joaquin Seys, who would reportedly cost around £30m.

  • Tottenham are linked with Folarin Balogun.
  • Napoli are reported to be pursuing Gabriel Jesus.
  • Liverpool are said to be interested in Bradley Barcola.
  • Inter are credited with interest in Djed Spence.

As ever with transfer-rumour round-ups, much depends on negotiations, player preference and clubs’ wider plans. But the latest reports suggest several high-profile teams across the Premier League, Serie A and Ligue 1 are actively shaping the next phase of their squads.
