Transfer rumours: Balogun to Spurs, Jesus on Napoli radar

Tottenham, Napoli and Liverpool are among the clubs featuring most prominently in the latest round of transfer speculation, with Folarin Balogun, Gabriel Jesus and Bradley Barcola all linked with significant moves before the window closes.

Spurs linked with Balogun as Inter look at Spence

One of the more eye-catching reports concerns Tottenham’s interest in Folarin Balogun. According to the source material, talks have been opened with Monaco over a move for the USA international and former Arsenal striker, with the proposed deal valued at €60m (£51.2m).

Tottenham could also see movement in the opposite direction in their squad planning. Djed Spence is said to be attracting interest from Inter, who are reportedly considering a £25.6m move for the full-back. The report adds that Spence would be open to a switch to San Siro, particularly with competition for places in north London potentially increasing after Roberto De Zerbi’s active summer in the market.

Napoli step up Jesus interest

Napoli are reported to be intensifying their pursuit of Gabriel Jesus, who could be available for around €20m (£17m). The Arsenal forward is entering the final year of his contract at the Emirates, and the suggestion is that regular first-team opportunities may be harder to secure.

The Paris Saint-Germain winger reportedly wants to leave the French club, with Anfield described as his preferred destination. Arsenal are also credited with an interest in the France international.

PSG, for their part, are reported to be moving towards deals for Ferran Torres of Barcelona and Ajax winger Mika Godts. The latter had spoken recently about wanting to shut down rumours that he was refusing to play for Ajax in order to force through a transfer.
