Reports across Hungarian media described Gornik as a demanding opponent, praised aspects of their defensive display and stressed that the contest is far from settled.

A difficult European path continues

Gornik's route through Europe has been unforgiving from the outset. In the second round of Champions League qualifying, Michal Gasparik's side were drawn against Fenerbahce and lost narrowly away from home before a draw in Zabrze ended that campaign.
