Robert Lewandowski’s encouraging start to life at Chicago Fire has become a talking point in Spain, where his post-Barcelona career is being assessed with growing interest. After an initially difficult adjustment in MLS, the former Barcelona striker now has seven goals and two assists, prompting Catalan daily Sport to suggest he is not missing his old club either.

A new chapter after Barcelona

Lewandowski brought an important era to a close in the summer when he left Barcelona after four seasons and moved to the United States. Chicago Fire became the next stop in a career that had already delivered a substantial body of work in Catalonia.
