Statistical football predictions built from the numbers rather than from hunches: football statistics and predictions for every match on today's card. For each of today's soccer matches you get the average goals per game, how often both teams score, how often the game goes over 2.5 goals, the head-to-head record, the recent form of both sides and our model's probability for the goals markets. The same statistics sit behind every match page on PredictStats; this page puts a whole day of them in one table.
Every figure is computed from the two teams' last 20 matches and their previous meetings, and refreshed as results come in. Probabilities are stated as percentages so you can compare them with the odds you are offered: a 65% chance is value at any price above 1.54.
Across today's 40 matches the two teams average 2.9 goals per game and 55% of their matches this season have gone over 2.5 goals; 34 of the pairs have at least three previous meetings on record.

How to read football statistics before you predict

Start with goals per game. Two teams averaging 3.2 goals between them are a different fixture from two averaging 2.1, whatever the league table says, and it is the number that decides over/under and BTTS markets.

Use H2H as history, not as a forecast. Ten previous meetings tell you how these two sides tend to play each other; two meetings tell you almost nothing, which is why the count is shown next to the record.

Read form as a trend across five matches, not as the last result. WWDDL and LDDWW are the same tally with opposite momentum, and the five results are shown so you can see which one you are looking at.

Compare the probability with the price. A 62% chance at odds of 1.80 is a good bet; the same 62% at 1.50 is not. The percentage is what makes that comparison possible.

- What are football stats predictions?
- Predictions derived from measurable statistics - goals scored and conceded, how often both teams score, the head-to-head record and recent form - rather than from opinion. On this page each prediction is a probability computed from those numbers for one of the goals markets.
- How accurate are statistical football predictions?
- As accurate as the probability says, over time. A market shown at 70% should land about seven times in ten across many matches, and it will lose three times in ten; a single result does not confirm or refute it. We publish the hit rate of our daily picks so you can check this against real results.
- What does BTTS mean in football statistics?
- Both teams to score. The BTTS percentage here is the share of both teams' matches this season in which each side scored at least once, and the model probability is its estimate that it happens in this particular fixture.
