Corner stats for November 8, 2026

The list covers 715 matches from 139 leagues and cups. For each match it shows how often each team's last 20 matches went over 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 corners, counting both sides' corners, along with the average per match, a table of every over/under line, each team's recent matches and the head-to-head record.

Top of today's list: Miedź Legnica U19 – Polonia Warszawa U19 (Poland, Central Youth League), corners over 10.5. Miedź Legnica U19: 9 of its last 13 matches had 11 or more corners; Polonia Warszawa U19: 10 of 14. Those matches averaged 12.4 corners.

League averages are in the table below: corners per match in the main leagues, for the home and the away side, and the share of matches over 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 since November 8, 2025.

Every percentage is a frequency from finished matches, not a forecast. Free: the day's first match with its full analysis, and three matches a day with a free account. Premium: the whole list with every line, the filters (halves, H2H, number of matches, leagues) and other days. How we count: methodology

How many corners are there in an average match?

Since November 8, 2025, the 92,555 finished matches in 615 leagues and cups have averaged 9.5 corners per game: 5.1 for the home side and 4.4 for the away side. 58% of those matches had at least 9 corners (the 8.5 line), 47% at least 10 (the 9.5 line) and 36% at least 11 (the 10.5 line). The spread between teams is huge, though: possession-dominant sides that attack through the wings force 6–7 corners a game, while teams that sit deep often finish with one or two. What matters is the profile of the specific pairing.

Bookmakers offer lines on total corners (most often 8.5–11.5), corners per team, handicaps and first-half corners. The database shows each team's home and away averages and how often a match cleared a given line in recent games.

How to use the corner analysis

Pick a date and a line (e.g. over 9.5) and the list shows the day's matches ranked by the average number of corners in both teams' recent matches (both sides' corners counted), each with how often the line was cleared in those matches and the head-to-head record. League and status filters let you narrow the list to competitions you know and check finished matches.

Match details show how corners are split by half and by team, which matters for bets on home or away corners and on the first half. Good signals combine two things: a high average and low variance. A team with 4, 12 and 3 corners in consecutive matches is a worse candidate than one with a steady 6, 7 and 6.

What drives the number of corners

Style of play matters more than a team's class: teams that cross from the wings and shoot a lot from distance generate corners, because blocks and deflections end up at the corner flag. The referee and the weather matter less here than for cards, but rain and a heavy pitch raise the number of corners, because more uncontrolled balls go behind the goal line.

Game state matters too: a trailing team attacks in a set pattern and forces corners late on, while the leading side gives up the initiative. That is why matches with a clear favourite who may be behind at the break often finish with a high second-half corner count.

Frequently asked questions

What is the most common corner line?
The standard total in European leagues is 9.5 or 10.5; for strongly attacking teams bookmakers raise it to 11.5, and for defensive matchups lower it to 8.5. Value appears when our estimate of the average clearly differs from the line.
Does a corner in stoppage time count?
Yes. All corners taken in regulation time count, including stoppage time in both halves; extra time is excluded unless the bookmaker's rules say otherwise. A corner awarded but not taken before the final whistle is usually not counted.
Where does the corner data come from?
From the official match statistics of our data provider, updated after every match; where it has no corner count, our live match tracker fills the gap. The list counts each team's last 20 matches with corner data (Premium can set 5 to 30), and every match counts the same.
What do you get with a free account, and what with Premium?
Without an account you see the day's first pick with the full analysis, with a free account three picks a day in every module. Premium opens the day's whole list, the filters (halves, H2H, number of matches, leagues), other days and the results history.
What does 8.5 corners mean in betting?
It is the betting line for total corners in the match. “Over 8.5” wins when the two teams take at least 9 corners between them, “under 8.5” when they take 8 or fewer. The half means the total can never land exactly on the line, so the stake is never returned. Since November 8, 2025, 58% of the matches in our database have had at least 9 corners, at an average of 9.5 corners per game.
How is the corners percentage worked out?
For each team we take its last 20 matches with corner data and count those in which the two sides together took more corners than the line, so at least 9 for over 8.5. The percentage pools both teams' matches: 15 of 20 and 9 of 16 make 24 of 36, or 67%. A team needs at least 10 such matches to be ranked. In H2H mode the figure comes from the two teams' past meetings instead. The average beside it is the corners per match in those matches; Premium's “Per Team” setting adds up each team's own corners instead. It describes finished matches, not the next one.
